Ort Wednesday ·September 27, _the annual C.C.I. Track and Field Meet was held at the Exhibition Park.
The Senior Division was noteable for two completely
d i f f e r e n t reasons~ ~irst, a n d m o s t pro ~ inent, w a s t h e l a c k . of com~etition in many of the events. Some of the races

Thesec.ond reason was 'the race between P8ulpursi.anen in the field events and Jim "Bozll Duggan in the. track events
to win the Wally Cooke Tr?phy awarded annually to the top athlete in the Track and Field Events.
Paul Pursianinen won a first in four field events;
the' Pole Vault, Broad Jump, High Jump, and Hop, step aIld :Jump.

John Hanley won a second in the 100 yard dasu, t~e 220, and 440 and a third in the Hop Ste) and Jump".,
Doug Kerr now.a banker, had a first in the Shot Put and the Discus and a second in the Hop Step and Jump. .
