 Miss HazeL A. Todd.
Miss Todd B. A. , University of Toron,to ,joined the staff
a,s a cqrnmercial teacher in 1950., He:r energetic att~mpts to arouse school spirit have been applauded but insuf- ' ficently supported by the student body. It is her opinion that such affairs as dances should be self-supporting and produce student council funds.
Along with the rest of the, staff Miss Todd thinks th~t a few students are in all activities and the vast majority are merely indifferent spectators. Her solution is that
,we ,should gather a highly enthusiastic number of those students who are, active and make them leaders of small groups. ",: These groups in turn would : inspire the entire school i,nto going' in more affairs such as the glee club, drama club and athletic competitions.
Another ,~3Uggesti(~n Miss Todd had is that \Ore take advantage of growing public interest in Georgian Bay and , invite prominent Canadian speakers to come to Collingwood. ,She gave John Fisher as an example of the type of speaker she had in mind~
