TO THE EDITOR OF THE GLEANER
We congratulate the editor ot the Gleaner and her assitants and staff advisor on their splendid work in producing this year's school magazine.
Pupils leaving school at this time will find many opportunies waiting tor them; Canada and Ontario are expand- ing rapidly and educated workers are in high demand. We
hope the pupils realize that time and money spen~ on ed- ucation now will pay handsome dividends in the future. University graduates in most fields of work are in very short supply and pupils now in high school should think about this.
We sincerely wish all pupils leaving shool at the end ot this year as graduates or undergraduates all sucess in the future.
WE acknowledge with appreciation the leadership and work of the pupils in the Counil and other school organ- izations; their contribution to the life and spirit of the school is invaluable.
This school year has been saddened by the death of Mrs. Wheeler who had been a highly respectedand valuable member ot the staff of this school and of the former Stayner High School.
I wish to express my personal appreciation for the way in which my colleagues on the staff have assumed extra responsibilities during my abence from duty the latter
part of this year. ~ ~~~
To the Editor of the Gleaner •
I would like to extend to the Gleaner staff my sincere congratulations on your outstanding efforts in preparing this splendid year book. In future years, the students of this school will treasure the many happy memories that the Gleaner
will bring to them.
This has been a somewnat trying year for the school. We
have all missed Mr. MacRae's kind and wise guidance and it is with humility and some uncertainty that I have attempted to fill his shoes during his temporary leave of absence. The students are to be highly commended for their co-operation and help during the latter part of this school year. We have certainly appreciated it.
Congratulations and good wishes are also extended to this year's graduates. May your future be one of success and happiness. To the undergraduates who will be leaving
this year we also extend a wish~~:~~
