CHRIST!v'lAS DAW;E --- -
In the centre of the gym stood a huge evergreen tree swathed in angel hair and strung with coloured lights. Red and white streamers were spun out from the tree to the side of the gym.
The Melody Men supplied the music and were good as usual. A buffet luncheon was served in the softly lit Caf~
eteria.
The curtains were drawn and red and green streamers were
draped over them.
An interesting feature was the punch b0wl-=a large block of ice, hollowed in the centre with holly and silver bells frozen into it.
On the cafeteria tables, candle holders made of birch logs with a sprig of evergreen cover ing t hem held two red candles with a silver ribbon.tied around the base of each.
The dance was a pleasant reunion for former student s and a welcome rel~ef after exams for attending students~ Every- one enjoyed themselves ahd the teachers seemed to be hav-ing
a ball.
