During the fa~l and winter of 56~57 the members of the Badminton C'lub hav_e had many pleasant evenings togethero There was keen competitioh between experienced members of the club and helpful interest ·was also taken in t.he new members o We hope they have come.to appreciate and enjoy the gameo
In addition to the regular nights in our own gym we were hosts in January to the mixed ·Ow~p Sound Club9 when they
journeyed to the Co Do Co Io, where we spent a pleasant ev- ening in friendly mixed competitiono After. the games in the gym, _tasty refreshments were served by the girls of O\ll"' clubo When O rillia and Collingwood basketbal l teams met in home- and-home gam~s an opportunity was providea to meet the Oril- lia students in badminton; and so we enjoyed games with me~­ bers of the Orillia Club at home and tn Orilliao In both these meets Collingwood made a favourable showingo
Club ~hampionships will probably he held this spring, and as the custom has been for the last few years~ trophies w ill probably be bfferedo

Each fall, the Owen Sound District Collegiate holds an invitation track and field meeto This year~ as in the past, Collingwood students competed in the meeto

For our Juniors.~~ Dave Ellis placed third i.n t,he 100 ydo and 220 ydo dashes; Paul Gartlen placed second in the Broad Jump' Ronny Rhodes pla·ced second ~n the Shot Putt' and. the Junior Relay team placed third in the Relay raceo
Dave Butters was the only boy from Collingwood to place in the Intermediate class; he placed second in the 100 yd& and 220 ydo· dashes, and second in the Hop-Step and Jumpo
No Seniors placed at the meeto Our showing this year wasnWt as good as in past years, for in past years many records have been broken and set at this meet by Collingwood Studentso
