Golden days in the sunshine of our happy youth,
Golden days full of gaiety and full of truth,
In o'\lr hearts we remember them all else above , ....
.- ..
1:7hen Sigmund Romberg wrote that beautiful song, Golden Days, surely he realized he was describing pe~fectly those never - to - be - forgotten days spent as a teen - ager. For most teen - agers, those days are the ones spent with family and friends and at school•.
.' T~is past year at school, not unlike prev:i,.ous onfi1s, bas also had its highlights. The Coke dances and the formals, the Variety lHte and the Iflusicala, the footballJ volleyball, and basketball games, the two ni~lts of one - act plays, to mention only a few, will be etch~d in ~ur memories for years. The athletically minded will remember the Soccer Team which won the METC championship, and the Junior Girls' Basketball Team which won the Grey - Simcoe Trophy. Band members will forever hear the judge at the Grey County Music Festival announce .their ninety per cent for their first First Prize. All of these have helped malee our year at the C.D.C.I. a beautiful memory in the golden days of youth.
