ball team had won four games and lost three, The season began when Barrie came to Collingwood and beat the C. D. C. I. team. Next, at an "away" game in Camp Borden, the Juniors won 44-15. When St. Joseph's team (Barrie) came to Collingwood, the Juniors won again, Although beaten by Orillia's team, the C. D. C. I. Juniors finished the season with a win against Alliston's Banting Memorial team, and another win against Midland.
Collingwood entertained Aurora high school on the annual Athletic Night, Although the Junior team played well, they did not win this game. The score was close and the game provided a fine exhibition for all onlookers.
JUVENILE BASKETBALL
The C. D. C. I. Juvenile team had a fairly successful season and lost only two
games out of the six played. Although the. team lost its first game (against Barrie Central), at Camp Borden and again at Barrie North, the opposing teams were easily beaten. The boys travelled to Crillia's Athletic Night to win another game in January. At Alliston, the team worked into second place in the league by winning for the fourth time. When the top team, Midland, came to Collingwood to decide the C. D. C, I. team's fate, the boys played a very exciting game, but failed to make first place. Although they narrowly missed first position, it must be said they played a good season and made their best record so far in the Juvenile team's existence.
