       Soccer
The soccer team did not quite keep up the championship-winning form of last year. The op- posing teams, having improved greatly since last yearI played well enough to produce some ex- cellent games. Each of the matches played was closely contested; the two defeats suffered by the C. D. C. I. team were made by the difference of only one goal in each case.
Practice games were well attended by the small squad of players who had excellent leader- ship from the captain, Werner Zotter 1 and the leading goal scorer 1 Norbert Schuller. During each game, each member of the team did his best to bring credit to the school.
The boys' wrestling team participated in meets in Guelph, Barrie, Kitchener, Orillia, and in the C. D. C. I. gymnasium. The boys, coached by Mr. Paton, went out to practices regularly and kept in very good shape. Lindsay Fawcett, Murray Hodges, and Gary Reid were all outstanding members of the team and made a habit of pinning their opponents and offering a good exhibition of wrestling skill at the same time. Other members of the team were: Paul Fiegehen, Paul Furnival, Larry Cooper, Earl McGauley, Jim Doherty, Dave Doherty, Paul Hindle, Howard Brant, Dale Parrish, Bud Doyle, and Jim Forsberg.
