      SENIOR COSSA BASKETBALL
TOP ROW: Left to Right; Gwen Daley, Barbara Martin. BOTTOM ROW: Bev Bonnell, Marian Kirk, Michele Brophy, Kathryn Newby. ABSENT: Shiela Soulsby, Audrey Abernethy, Brenda
Gilbert, Elizabeth Beacom, Levonne Hutton.
Of the forwards, Carol Davis was high scorer with 210 points or an average of 20 points pet game. Diane Butters, although suffering with a knee injury, had a very successful season. In the second game with Barrie North, however, a badly sprained ankle put her out for the rest of the year. Joye Woolner also had a successful season. She scored thirteen points in the Orillia game, and played well in all other games. There are some good prospects for next year; Carolyn Christensen, who got nineteen points in 0. S. C. V. I. game, and played very well in the Barrie North game; Sue Smith, who plays both forward and guard, can get right in the middle and get the ball; Judy Hawman, Winnie Udell, and Evelyn Fawcett put up good fights and held the opposition to a low score.
The guards, Pat Mason, Jeannie Soulsby, and Faith Rutherford are the only ones from last year's team. They had a hard job, especially in the Barrie North games, and they handled it very well with the able help of the first year players.
The Junior C. 0. S, S. A. team had a very successful season and placed second in the league. They practiced both in the afternoon and in the morning with excellent coaching from Mrs. Black.
