PEACE, I HAVE FOUND THEE
Through silent sleeping glade 'Neath shimmering sun and shade Longingly ond dismayed.
Peace, I have sought thee.
In soft, soothing breeze
In brooks 'ere yet they freeze In night birds' plaintive pleas.
Peace, I have heard thee.
In sunset's burning blaze Through autumn's dreamy haze In shy deer's gentle gaze.
Peace, I have glimpsed thee.
Down where wild waters leap Down where dim pools sleep Down where worn wi \lows weep.
Peace, I have found thee. Jack Bent XID

THE SUN
Behind, above, then out to sea; 0! How wonderful it must be- Lighting the world by day,
The heavens by night.
Light for us to see and love,
Traversing the skies like a golden dove, Winging its way into the seas,
Emerging again from behind the trees.
0 Mighty Sun -omnipotence is thine, Buring ever into time.
May your splendor last forever;
Our ribbon of life never to sever.

SNOW
It slumbers down to meet the ground, Quiet, still-there is no sound.
It's like a white protective cover- Gentle, pure like a lover.
Ever joyful to the child,
In the woods or in the wild, Ever tending, never bending- Holding out its hand a-lending.
But, at the dawn of one sad day
The snow, the child, no longer play: The snow is gone, the chi Id cries- Does she believe the snow dies?
Yet, soon the snow will return again On streets, on roofs, on a chi \d's lane, It will come another year-
"Fear not, my darling, do come near."

THE CYCLE OF LIFE Nothingness is encouraged; Birth occurs,
Life continues,
Experience endures,
Age presses,
Death ends,
Nothingness begins again-

IMAGINA TION
The dictionary definition
is nothing like the thing.
No one knows
except those
who have experienced it.
Those who have imagination are fortun~te beyond compare:
their dreams have gone
beyond the sun --
into the great unknown.
They own the world. A II the wealth 'therein
is theirs.
The moon, the stars, the sun,
are their dominion.
They rise to heights unknown. Everywhere you look
you see
the results of their ability.
Their dreams are real. Images stand forth
that they
made possible;
and yet
the more you see the more you fee I their needed talent.
You think you have imagination. Develop it.
Be sure.
