Junior Basketball 1961
With the promotion of most of last year's Junior players to the Senior level, Miss Love, the basketball coach, was left fo make almost a whole team from girls that had never played interschaol basketball before. Although we are not doing very outstanding playing, our team is defi~itely im- proving.
The members are Cheryl Walker, Captain, Nancy Keith, Anne Westbrooke, Donna Bell, Cathy Smith, JoAnn Besse, Lynn Krogman, Pat Clemence, and Barb Ireland.
We thank Miss Love, our ooach, wro ros taught us many new plays, our manager, Cherie Johnston, who cheers us on, and our mascot, a stuffed dog named VIctory.

Playing as forwards were Catherine Mite e I captain, Diane Butters, Gloria Culbert, Marilyn Firth, Mary MacLean, and Sue Smith he guards were Gwen Shaw, Rae Griesbach, Pat Mason, Sharon Girdwood, and Margaret f'\lewby.
Under our coach, Miss Love, the team played well and became the Senior Georgian Bay District Champions.
