The failure of last year's team may have inspired a spirit of determination among this year's team not to fold up. At the time of this writing there are seven members including Tony Walraven, Paul
Feigehen, Murray Hodges, John Walsh, Daryl McKenzie, Delbert (wise guy) Granger, and Gary Dingwall.
In the first week of school in the winter season, Collingwood suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Midland, having won only one out of eight bouts, the champion being the rookie Tony Walraven, a very promising athlete. But, as the saying goes, "One learns best through one's mistakes," and Collingwood displayed a better effort in their second tournament at Listowel. Champions in their weight class were Paul Feigehen and Murray Hodges while Tony Walraven and Daryl McKenzie fell just short of the mark.
The Ontario championships will be held in Toronto this March, but at this time it is not known where Coli ingwood will stand. A special mention is made of our coach Mr. Leyshon, who, in
addition to the fact that he buys free suppers for champions, does an excellent job in instructing the team.
This year the C. D.C .I. Soccer Tearn fought hard for the glory and credit of their school.
They had a very good record of one loss, two ties and three wins. They finished the season in second after losing to the top place Meaford team in the last thrilling game by a score of two to one.

The team would like to thank their new coach Mr. Manuel, who led his team like a professional. They would also Iike to thank everyone who supported them throughout the year.
We hope that in the coming years the team will go all the way and become the champions of the best game of all SOCCER. .
