    Students' Council
Students' Council--Class Presidents 1962-'63
The advent of this year's Student's Council was characterized by a marked change in procedure from
previous years. After obtaining the services of Mr. Russell and Miss Anderson for another year as staff advisors, the Council set about to perform its first major task, that of selling Student Activity Cards. Instead of the fifty cent pr.ice whichhasbeen in effect all other years, this year's card sold for two dollars. This was well worthwhile since free admission to sports events, as well as sizeable reductions in all other student functions, was included. In addition, no student was allowed to participate in any school activity unless he had an Activity Card. The students responded very well, and bought over 650 cards.
A chief project of this year's Council was the amalgamation of the funds of every school activity, ex- cluding the Band, thus making the Student's Council the financial centre of extracurricular activities. The Student's Council has provided a trophy for the Public Speaking Contest, as well as bars to each
contestant.
We, on the Council, appreciate very much the co-operation which the students, whom we represent,
have given us, and feel that it is indicative of a definite upward trend in school spirit.
