Under the fine coaching of Mr. Twigg, the soccer team which, according to the pessimists, was doomed to occupy the soccer ceHar, finished the season undefeated, and by whipping Thornbury by a score of 5 to 0 in the League final, won the District Champ- ionship.

shot passes up to the forward line. Inside for- wards Bob Newby and Arnold Meesters pro- duced some timely goals as did wingers Ron Picot and Jim Badowski. Forwards John Stephenson and Donald Blacklock did a fine job in the scoring department.
Rumours that Mr. Twigg's refereeing may have had something to do with the Collingwood successes in certain games were squelched by the good coach himself who said that in the Championship game in Thornbury, with neut- ral refereeing, "we won by more than when I refereed!"
