The Students' Council would like to thank our gen- eraladvisor,Mrs. Blacklock, and ourfinancial advisor, Mr. Freudman, for their guidance and assistance throughout the year.
The first task of the council was the appointment of Rosemary Hergott as secretary and Lynda Towns as Treasurer. Both girls have done an excellent job for the council and deserve the thanks which we offer them.
Student cards were sold this year offering to the students free admission to school sports events and "Coke" dances, and reduced rates at the theatre, arena and student functions.A very large portion of the stud- ent body purchased the activity cards ,and this enabled the student council to meet immediate requests for finances.
Because of the hard work of our Gleaner editor, Cynthia Hacking, the Gleaner staff was ready for this report before the executive had had time to put into effect many of our long range plans for future projects. Some of these include the selling of school sweaters and school crests and school jackets.
The Public Speaking contestants will receive bars and the winners will receive trophies.
We also hope to have some money-making projects which will enable us to start a bleacher fund.
None of these projects will be successful without student support. The Students' Council wish to congrat- ulate the Gleaner staff for their hard work in publish- ing the Gleaner , and we also congratulate the student body for their participation and support in all school activities .
The Executive wish all students every success in their future years at C. C. I. and to our graduates we say "fare-well" and "thank-you" for your contribution to our school life. "Good luck!"
