The boy's senior basketball team, nicknamed the "Cavaliers", finished the season with eight winsandfourlosses.Thisrecordwas due mainly to the energetic play of Harrison, Pretty, Wickstrom, Hazelwood, Meesters, as well as to the proficient passing of Newby, Simpson, Harrison and Clark. Top scorers for the season wereJohnPrettywith15points, followed closely by Bob Simpsonwith 13 points. The most exciting game of the season was played against Alliston, probably the strongest team in the league. The final score, 60-59, indicates the close margin of the Cavaliers' victory.
Much of the team's success this year was the result of the coaching of Mr. Maki, and the team wishes to express to him its gratitude for his interest and direction.
