The year 1969-70 seemed to be the year that Collingwood would go right to the top and capture the G.B.S.S.A. title. But unfortunately there was a little opposition.
During the schedule the team lost only to Barrie Central. However by the end of the season Colling- wood and Barrie Eastview were tied for first place.
The Simcoe County Cup and fust place were the stakes vied for in a sudden death game against Eastview.
Much to the dismay of the team and their coach, Miss Barron, they were defeated. Eastview went on to win the title.
The team also had some exhibition games with Elmvale and Stayner.
Miss Barron is to be commended on her abilities and the team is to be congratulated on such a wonderful season.
