IF
If you can sit and work without a chatter
If you can seem surprised without a yell
If you can pack your books without a clatter Nor rise until you hear the ending bell
If you can come to all your classes early
And never wander out of line at all
If attitude is never, never surly
And you never do loud talking in the hall
If every minute you give your attention
To subject matter that is being taught
If you can live through school without detention And not because you haven't just been caught
If you can come to every class with homework That has been done the very night before
If you can concentrate on all your school work And never grumble when given more and more
If you can enter sport with all that's in it
And only play the game for having fun
Then this school's yours and everything that's in it And what is more, you'll graduate my son.
