Junior Soccer

Isn't it coincidental that the same year that the WHA raids destroyed many good hockey teams, that a team call "The FOOTBALL Team" destroyed our Junior Soccer Team. After a very promising Midget Team in 1971-72, a total of five out of our thirteen man squad departed us to play football.
So this year with a team of five first-year players, the junior soccer team finished out of the playoffs with a total of one win and one tie with three losses. The tie came against Alliston and the win against Barrie Central. Mearle Lockhart was the team high scorer.
It is hoped that the 1973-74 year will bring a better represented as well as a better supported CCI soccer squad.
Thanks are extended to Mr. Traynor and Mr. Beckett for doing a fine job of coaching us.
