JUNIOR
This year our Junior Basketball team had its "pro- blems", but we did manage victories against Elmvale, Mea- ford, Barrie North and a thriller against Orillia Twin Lakes. The Orillia victory was our last game of the season, so we ended the season in a blaze of glory. As for the other
games we weren't as fortunate. These games could be clas- sified as being close and not so close. In our annual "grudge match" against the "Friendly" Stayner Juniors we suffer- ed another upset. We succumbed to over confidence and Stayner's strong fighting spirit, even our new uniforms didn't help us.
Now that the season is over it is evident we didn't leave our mark in the standings, but during the season we learned a great deal about the game of basketball and our- selves. High scorers on the team were Frank Sheffield, Erik Scotney and Kevin Smith. Players that showed promise for next year's Junior team were Jamie MacMillan, Steve Gird- wood, John Carswell and Christopher Smith.
For the success we did attain during the year, we owe our thanks to Mr. Baseline Bert Crago. Mr. Crago de- voted his time to the development of our skills, which he based on an increased level of fitness.
But do not be discouraged, there is always tomorrow and maybe CCI will be ina GBSSA basketball final instead of hosting one.

Although the Midgets were not greatly successful in the standings, we were successful in achieving im- portant basketball skills for future years.
We are proud to say that all of our games were played in close com- petition. The most outstanding game this year was when we defeated our rivals, STAYNER, in the ANNUAL GRUDGE MATCH by over 20 points.
The team would like to thank all those that supported us during the games, and the coaches; Mr. Aikens, and Mr. Tetzner for their time and patience.
