ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
In the production of this Special Edition of the Gleaner for '74, there are several people and groups of people who should be recognized for their contribution to the suc- cess of this book.
First of all, there is Joy Stuckum and her small, but able, crew of assistants who actually put this book together through a lot of hard work and determination. Mr. Seidle provided his capable assistance when any problems arose. Special recognition goes to our photographers, Mr. Kilgour and Mr. Fogg, who took time out from their busy schedules to provide us with literally dozens of photographs for the pages of this book. The three copy editors, Jill Browne, Linda Gibb and Andy Sanfilippo did a fine job in their depart- ment. Mr. Truscott and his group collected a good number of advertisements to give us financial support. Mr. Traynor tackled the job of advance sales and he came out more successful than last year. Mr. Kenney, Mrs. Carswell and Diane Robinson compiled the old photos for the History Section.
Last of all, but certainly not least, is Mr. Minardi, the co-ordinator. He saw to it
that all went smoothly and he is one of the reasons why this year's edition is so successful.
I hope you noticed the new and refreshing style of this year's Gleaner. A lot of these new ideas came from the Yearbook Workshop at The University of Waterloo which Joy and I attended last summer for a week. We had a look at other school's yearbooks and were taught basics in layout and design. From this start, the Gleaner '74 took a new approach in September when we began. We'd like to thank Mr. Minardi and Canada Year- book Services for making the week at Waterloo possible. We hope you like the result. I know I would not have missed being a part of Gleaner '74 for the world!
