This year with the first publication, the Issue manag- ed to stir a minor furor among the students. It all revolved around an owl (one we all know and love) and a crucifix. Some were appalled, mortified, others thought it was fun- ny and even more didn't give a hoot. Anyway, a loud minority managed to spark a bit of excitement and some hoped it could continue with the moderately radical and maybe even interesting tone. However, after three publica- tions it seemed to drift away along with other fond memories. Since I am writing this at the beginning of March, I don't know what to expect from future Issues. I can only hope they spark as much enthusiasm at the first.
The staff consisted of Jim Horsborough, John Mas- ters, Trevor Barton, David Scattergood, Christa Kendel, Jane McGillivray, Bill Tickle, Barb Bassett, Julie Weldon, and John Chasteven. Mr. Dykstra was liaison between the staff and faculty and was a capable and understanding ad- visor.
