COLLINGWOOD ROTARY CLUB INTERNATIONAL YOUTH EXCHANGE
G. Minardi, Frank Van Keeken, H. Downer. Maria Dewey
Hello from Argentina, Jan. 19, 1978
Right now I am in the middle of my summer holidays so I'm not doing too much of the readin', ritin', an' rithmetic stuff but I can't say I'm not learning. Apart from my Spanish I have gained a wealth of experience here, learning to live and communicate with people, and in reality that's what life is all about. You'll find your stay in high school much more enjoyable and fruitful if you feel you're apart of everything. That, of course, doesn't mean conform, or follow like a herd of sheep. You can be yourself and a part of society too. I have also learned to really appreciate my way of life back home, including school, and I am looking forward to coming home. I would like to say a special hello and good luck to my fellow graduating students and hope you have successful lives and more importantly happy lives. To the rest of the students and teachers I hope this year was also successful and I'll see you next September.
Frank
This past school year, C.C.I. welcomed Maria Deway, and exchange student from Mexico.
Gracias Rotary Club for this wonderful opportunity. I have enjoyed Collingwood, and my impression of Canadians; friendly and hospitable people. I will treasure the memories forever.
Adios
Maria Dewey
