Junior Football
The junior team started the season with hopes and loads of talent. A league championship for CCI was not 'in the cards' however, as we fin- ished with 2 wins, 4 losses and 1 t i e - albeit a considerable improvement over 1978's record of 0 wins. The highlights had to be the Banting game in which we held the league champions scoreless until the last few min- utes of the game when they scored and won. Another highlight was the super effort displayed by the players shown in the team photo (above) dur- ing the annual Stayner-CCI game, when although we lost, we had a tough and close battle right to the final gun.
