HOI JONGENS!
Hoe gaat het met jullie? That's Hi, kids! How's it going? Across the seas in the Netherlands the new life of Lee Cockerill is great. Here are some facts:
I'm living in the city of 's-Hertogenbosch, 1% hours south of Amsterdam. It has a population of about 83,000 and is the capital of its province, North Braban t.
The city is well-known for the largest and oldest cathedral in Holland. It's the St. Jan's Cathedral, which was my neighbor for three months.
Every Wednesday and Saturday there is a large market; it has been running for 800 years. It offers everything to the shopper.
The weather here is outrageous: One minute it's beautiful and sunny (which is rare), and then it's rain- ing or hailing.
Yes, everyone rides bikes here. I have one, and a 15-minute bike ride to school. I've had to ride through rain, 2 inches of snow, and 1 inch of solid ice on the roads.
Schools are a lot different. There are no lockers, so you have to carry your books all day and hang your coats up in a cloak room. I have to start at 8:30 every morning, but I'm usually out at 1:20 or 2:10.
The food is excellent here: Cheese, pastries and candi es.
I went on a school trip to Rome during our week vacation in October, and will be going to England in April.
I think the things I miss a lot are homemade chocolate cookies and good ole' Collingwood.
This picture of me is taken playing a typical Dutch family game called sjoelbak, a type of shuffle-board.
Groetjes (Greetings) Lee Cockerill

ROTARY CLUB
My year in Canada is almost done. I certainly en- joyed being a Canadian and coming to school where I found many friendly people whom 1 will never forget.
Being up here I learned about your life-style which I found rather interesting. I think of Canada as my second home where I spent a year of my life and if any reason I have to move out of my country 1will be coming to the Great White North.
Yours Truly,
