FOR THE RECORD
The 1985-86 Collingwood Collegiate Alpine ski team had a very successful season. Our first meet was held at Blue Mountain and was sponsored by Stayner Collegiate. Jennifer Cation led the girls to a sixth place finish by placing third. The boys and the combined teams placed fifth out of twenty-two teams.
The Collingwood Cup hosted by C.C.I. ran at Blue Mountain, and Collingwood's combined team was second out of a field of 18 teams. The highlight of the day was Nicole Haiduk's impressive first place finish. The next meet was a slalom at Horseshoe Valley , where our boys finished second. The last race was the York Region meet where our boys and girls teams finished third .
GBSSA was hosted by Collingwood
Collegiate under less than Ideal conditions at a fog shrouded Craigleith Ski Club. Jennifer Cation's fourth place finish was the highlight of the day. Our season finished with an invitation to the OFSAA championship held in North Bay, Ontario. Coaches: H. Haiduk, J. Plater, and C.
