The senior French Immersion trip is to St. Donat, a ski area in the Laurentian Park north of Montreal.
The program includes instruction in local history, geography and culture. Students conduct tape recorded interviews with local people. A wilderness survival course prepares students to ex- perience the real out of doors in Quebec. Evening activities include snow-shoeing, log carrying, ski and toboggan races. Of course, the highlight is an evening of French Folklore with an amateur talent contest.
Communicating in French in these situations is easy and fun. En franc;ais, au Quebec? C'est formidable!
