CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING
Cross-country running is alive and well at CCI thanks to the fine competitive efforts of our runners and coaching staff.
Leading the team this year were the Senior Boys and Junior Girls both OFSAA finalists. In Simcoe County competition, our Midget Girls, paced by ELAINE LIND- HORST'S second place finishes, captured the team trophy. The Senior Boys qualified for the OFSAA meet with a team effort by JAMES ST ANLEY , JEREMY BUCHAN, JOEL WESTERHOF, RICK POTTS and KEVIN ZEGGIL. The boys finished second behind ODCVI at the GBSSA meet.
PAULINE VIRETTE , YVONNE LELIVELD, KIM STOCKDALE, CATHY MORWOOD and WENDY WARD trained all fall to make things happen at the Horseshoe Valley Resort in the GBSSA meet. The results - a GBSSA team title with Yvonne, Cathy, Kim and Pauline all finishing in the top ten as individuals.
At North Bay , the Junior Girls were able to add ELAINE LINDHORST to their OF- SAA team where they earned 6th place ribbons - A GREA T TEAM PERFOR- MANCE!
