''A little fish in a big pond''
• t seems like yesterday when I wandered through IC.C.I.'s front door for the first time. I grudgingly walked to school with my best friend in the world, chattering nervously, while thoughts of what going to high school actually entailed cluttered my mind. "Would anyone from my elementary school be in any of my classes? Would anyone talk to me? Would I be a social outcast? Should I get involved?" I was once again a little fish in a big pond. The answer to all of my questions soon became answered as I matured in this big complex that soon became my second home. I'm happy to say that I became very involved over the years, and met many people through sports teams, clubs, Prefects, Student Council, and by just making an effort to try and try again. The many in- volvements that I became part of over the years matured me socially and intellectually more than anyone could know. The fond memories that I have of high school range from week- end adventures and Prefects to the musical, and these will live
with me for years. And now as I am on the threshold of universi- ty, I once again face all of the fears of a "grade niner". "Will I belong? Should I become in- volved?" The answer to all of these questions is 'YES' as once again I am a little fish in a big pond.
