At Times It Wasn't Easy, But
WeMADE AN IMPACT!
One day Troy Ferguson happened to be standing outside the cafeteria during the ten minute break when he took a moment from eating his chocolate chip cookie to make a profound statement that went something like, "No one ever said that life would be easy!" Perhaps he was relating to what it was like to be a Senior at C.C.I. and was re- flecting on the studying, the essays, the seminars, the exams, the labs etc., etc., etc., that came with being in Grade 12 or 13. In spite of the hard work, however, one thing became most obvious to the rest of the students ... You made an impact! Throughout the good times and the bad, our Grads were always right behind us, cheering us on, patting us on the back or lifting up our spirits.
Last Requests
Now I lay me down to sleep, With my homework In a heap.
If I die before I wake,
I have but eight requests to make.
Lay my French book on my chest, Tell Mr. Beckett I did my best.
Lay my Math book at my feet, Tell Mr. Bluemke it had me beat.
Put my Art behind my back,
Tell Mr. Pearson I've not the knack.
Lay my English 'neath my arm, Tell Mr. Field It did me harm.
Place my Music at my knee,
Tell Mr. Hamlin I was far off key.
Lay my Physics at my shoes,
Tell Miss Milne I was thoroughly con- fused.
Put my Geography on my head, Tell Mr. Darlington I died In bed.
Lay my Chemistry by my side, Tell Mr. Pommer I'm glad I died.
