          DRAMA CLUB (TOP LT.)
This year's crazy bunch of dramatists are entering the Georgian Bay Drama Festival in Barrie. They will be competing against 16 schools from all across Simcoe County. Our creation of the one act play 'Silent Snow, Secret Snow' is shaping up to be a real suc- cess. The troup will be presenting the play to various schools in the area and possibly for the students at C.C.I. The Club also plans to launch a 2nd major project when the Festival activities have calmed down. Who knows what will be next?

Public Speaking (LOWER CENTRE) C.C.I. was represented by Tanya Cook, Paul Coleman , Christine Lowe, Jason Wilcox and Sherri Black at the Legion and Lion's Club Speaking Competitions this year . All students did an excellent job of representing CCI at both the local and district or zone competitions.
The Terry Fox Centre (BOT . LT.)
This year CCI sponsored 21 students at the Terry Fox Centre in Ottawa. Participants came mainly from Grade 11 since age re- quirements and maturity were in keeping with
senior students status.
This week-long experience is social,
cultural and educational in that young Cana- dians from every province join together to participate in activities unique to the Terry Fox Centre. One direct result is that students shed any preconceptions they might have had about their fellows from other parts of Canada. Friendships are formed , some of which extend beyond the week in Ottawa.
To summarize how our students felt about the Terry Fox Experience, let's refer to one comment that "there was only one thing wrong with the program ·· it wasn't long enough."
