Margaret Allard has had her father twice for science - once in grade nine and then again two years later. Does she mind?
Absolutely not! She thinks that it's great "he's here when I need money and a ride!" Does she think that her peers treat her differently because her dad is up at the front of the room? She's found "just when I call him 'Dad'!"
Another C. C. I. student who can also look to his father be- ing close at hand for some money or a ride to school is Brent Nell. However, the advantages are even greater than those already mentioned. It is so much easier to get notes signed because your parent is right there and let's not forget the ability to store articles in the car. Throughout his high school career, Brent has found that perhaps because of his father's position, "otheF eachers expect more from you". Furthermore, one caR e assured that because your parent is a C.C.I. teacher, ''you can't skip class, you can't do anything wrong beeause they know about it immediately and you CANNOT ie about test results!"
Brad Sproul as found that although his friends occa- sionally tea~ im because his dad is a member of the Math departmet:lt, it's terrific because "he helps you at home".
Susan Field had her father as an English teacher during the f·irst semester and found her fellow classmates migttt l)ave thought that "you have a guaranteed pass", but this just wasn't so. She felt that ih his class, she had to be quiet, work harder and behave better than in her other classes. However, Sue could always look to good old dad in case she didn't have lunch money!
