My experience of being on the C.C.I. football team would have to be one of the best I've had in my years at this school. The late prac-
.tices in the rain and snow, the long bus rides to Barrie, the agony of defeat and the glory of a hard earned win brought all of these Collingwood boys closer together.
In our season this year we ac- complished 2 of the 3 goals we set out to do. First we won our local championship against Stayner in Stayner. This was one of the greatest wins of the season. The second goal was to make it to the GBSSA championships, we did so by beating Stayner by a score of 39 to 0. This would be the fourth
shut-out for our strong junior team. Our third goal was to win the GBSSA championship , which we did not succeed in doing. The game was in lnnisdale on a cold November day. Our spirits were high and so were our chances of winning since we had beaten them pretty badly in our first game.
We started out strong both on defence and offence considering we were missing (due to injuries) a few key players. The final score was 30-7 for lnnisdale.
In my opinion losing a champion - ship GBSSA game has to be one of the worst experiences in my years at C.C.I.

Another Successful Season for the Jr. Football Team???
Did the Jr. football squad have a successful season? It all depends upon your criteria for measuring success. Read the following com- ments and decide for yourself.
Dear Reader.
- 48 players started the season and 38 players finished
- we won 5 out of 6 league games finishing in first place
- we won the Collingwood-Stayner Champion- ship, beating our traditional rivals 30-14 and 39-0
- every player got some playing time in every league game
-the skills of all players improved tremendous- ly from September to November
-we won the GBSSA semi-final, but lost the big game in the final for the second year in a row - the players exhibited tough, aggressive foot- ball, but clean, honest football (We received no roughing or unsportsmanlike penalties all season)
- we had emotional highs and emotional lows -IT WAS FUN!
"Could we have your decision, please?"
