Being a Senior is not easy! Suddenly you are faced with a multitude of decisions that will affect the rest of your life. You must take important steps like either choosing to enter the work force or going to university or college, perhaps located in a city far from home, Mom's cooking and best friends. You might decide to take a year off from further academic pursuits and travel the world. You'll be faced with taking important steps towards your lifetime career. These are very scary thoughts, for what you aimed at as a child, is most likely not even close to your present goal. Kerry Letherby, for example, described herself as "a brat in some ways because I always wanted my own way and always wanted to be everything from A to Z as a child." Today, however, she remains slightly undecided in her career goal although she finds bank telling appealing. Justin Frye, "the sweetest little trouble-maker Collingwood has ever seen" , always wanted to be a policeman and still has his mind set on this profession. Why? He wants to follow in his Dad 's footsteps! Chris Duyvestyn viewed his childhood as "being a brat sometimes, but good most of the time", and in his youth felt being a fireman was a very noble career.
However, he has since decided that he would like to pursue an architectural profession. Brad Dey, a well- humoured little tyke, also wanted to be a fireman. However, his love of flying has encouraged him to pur- sue the life of a pilot. Sue Caughill, that "awesome child", always wanted to be a teacher because of her love for children. What is her goal today? "I want to be an accountant so that my kids can have lots of money!" Wendy Smith was a very affectionate child who loved everyone.
She wanted to go into the nursing field until she discovered that she couldn't stand the sight of blood. She would now like to be an archaeologist. Rien Meesters, "a noisy kid who was a pain to my sister", wanted to be a farmer just like his dad. Because of his love of the outdoors and young people, he would like to be a geography teacher. Mr. Knox, move over!
Whatever your chosen path in life, we wish you the best and because you have already received a strong footing as a C.C.I. student, we know that you are already headed in the right direction!!!
