Last summer when Markham Breitbach arrived back in Collingwood with a plaque awarded for his first place standing in photography at the sum- mer course at Brock University, we knew that the year was off to a terrific start. If we had to come up with one word to describe this year's class. it would be a very difficult task. We would have to choose from an assortment of terms like dedicated, hard-working, creative, fussy . .. Let's just call them SUPERB/ When they were sent out on·assignment. we could be guaranteed that the results would be outstanding. Late nights were a way of life and the purple tinge of developer on clothes was a com-
mon sight. They even found that after spending 3 hours in the darkroom. sepia tone really didn't smell like rotten eggs anymore. Special thanks must be paid to Markham Breitbach (Photo Editor or 'Big Cheese') Gord (Gordo) Fischer. Jenn (Jenn-Jo) Ro- binson and Joanne (Jo-Jenn) McNabb for their leadership roles and the multitude of time spent assisting others both in and out of the darkroom .
