        encountered in your life, think
again. This little ticket that you
see above has been presented
to a great many students and
staff. Only Mrs. Toppings can
honestly admit that she has
never received such an item. Mr.
Fischer, however, can not claim
such innocence. He received his
last ticket last year and he com-
pletely puts the blame on the
Gleaner staff. As a favor to the
yearbook, he kindly offered to and his wife were having an
drop a film off at Schuller's Pho- tography and since he was just going to run in, he felt no need to drop a nickel in the meter. However . . . Mr. Fisher felt that this was likely the most expensive film ever developed. Mr. Truscott never learned from this experi- ence, for one week later he too was dropping film off and almost got a fine for the same reason. He, however, was able to talk the meter man out of ticketing a bor- rowed Mr. Fisher's car. Mr. John Moore can also be noted for talking his way out of a ticket. One time he and his wife were driving along extremely fast when he saw the red flashing light in his rear-view mirror. When the officer approached the car, Mr. Moore explained that he

argument and that's why he was unable to concentrate on the speedometer. The policeman, being married himself, let Mr. Moore off. Needless to say, Mrs. Moore wasn't overly pleased with her husband's story. This past summer Miss Swanson went into the bank to withdraw some money, only to return a few min- utes later to get more money in order to pay for the parking ticket she had just received. Mr. Buie also puts the Gleaner at fault for his last traffic fine. Last year the science teacher was at- tempting to break the sound bar-
rier in order to bring his long overdue writeup into a Gleaner work night. The OPP had no sym- pathy for him and since then Mr. Buie has become very punctual.
