This was followed by a symbolic and meaningful skit performed by James Barnaby, Jennifer Collins, Tara Deffett, Michelle Doupe, Jen Price, Tiffany Stockfish, Brandi Stone (Top Lt.): Alana Tennant, Deb Tomilson, Frances Tutt, and Jill Whyte. (Top Lt.): The assembly
ended with a commendable per- formance by Jodi Geddes (Bot. Lt.): singing "From a Distance" by Bette Midler. Everyone left with a strong sense of the past and a hope for fu- ture peace in the Middle East.

This memorable assembly began with a speech from James Carson, (Mid Bot.): about "Flanders Fields", followed by a moving story about the Bill of Rights by Amnesty Inter- national members Wendy Graham, Mandy Holroyd, Alison Kelly, and Glen Miller.Together Bonnie Walker and Jason Wilcox (Bot. Rt.): per- formed a beautiful song called
"The Sounds of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel. The assembly con- tinued with a slide show that in- cluded slides of former C.C.I. students who fought and died in the Second World War.
