On May 8th., 1991, many of CCl's mu- sical performers left for the nation's cap- ital. For many of the senior students, Ottawa was nothing new, but for the oth- ers that had never been here before, it was an experience to remember . The whole of the music trip was to tour many different schools and events and show them just how talented we Collingwood kids were! Our stops included the newest high school in Ottawa, a shopping centre and an ex- travaganza behind the Parliament Buil- dings. As well as performing, we visited the Museum of Natural Civilization in Hull, Quebec. Here we saw many exhibits and a semi-3D movie about the earth. I think that the highlight of the trip to the MONC was a No-Nonsense puppet show. Special
thanks go to all of the groups that per- formed : Junior Band, Intermediate Band , Intermediate Jazz Band, Senior Band, Sen- ior Jazz Band, ChOir, Jazz Choir, No- Nonsense and the Girls Trio. Also many thanks to Mr. Hamlin, Mr. McAndrew and Mr. Spencer for their magnificent leader- ship during the year! • Greg Gibson TOP L T .: Karrie Baulke practices for a su- perb concert as the groups get ready to tour to Chicago and Germany in the spring. MID. LT.: "I heard that big groups hate the road tours, but we love them!" MID. RT.: The Sax Quintet blows the cobwebs out of Ottawa! BOT. RT.: Under the direc- tion of Mr. McAndrew, the Choir makes the capital city sit up and take notice!
