FITNESS + EDUCATION + FUN = MINN-A-KEE
"When I tell people that I'm in Minn-A-Kee, and explain the program, many of them laugh and say, "You're getting 4 credits just for cross- country skiing and sun-tanning all day? Must be nice!" There is much more to this course than skiing and sun tanning. It takes a certain kind of person to survive sleeping in a dripping quin-zhee in mid-winter, to be able to distinguish brush wolf tracks from those of a fox; and to put up with Jimmy rambling on about 'Chromaphobia'. In this year's group, there were 20 people ably led by Mr. Garland, who can do all these things and more. In fact, most students can even explain what MAP means while completing an isopleth map at the same time. Some of us can ski 20 kms and still have the energy to wonder how He-Man Jamie can con- tinue to skate all over the place like a mad fool after the trek. There are times when I ask myself, "What am I dOing here?" When those contours just do not fit, or when skiing to the point of exhaustion only to look up and see 'Three Stage' looming ahead or when Ryan asks, "who's darker? Me or Jen Weis?" for the 50th time, I momentarily have second thoughts. I will never regret my decision to enter Minn-A-Kee. It has been one of the best experiences of my life. I have become very close to 19 other people, increased my fitness and I'm getting an education and having fun at it. I'm only sorry that the whole school cannot become part of this excellent learning adventure."

C.C.I. TAKES A BITE OUT OF THE BIG APPLE
On May 12, 1991, thirty-five exuberant C.C.1. students, six Innisdale students, Miss Harrison, Mrs. Fyfe, the Sneyds and their wives all set out for the "Big Apple."
During our four day adventure we visited the Empire State Building (but we missed King Kong), the Statue of Liberty (She was as green as ever), the United Nations Building, the World Trade Metropolitan Mus- eum of Art, the very expensive Fifth Avenue, FAO. Schwartz, SOHO, and the colassal Macy's mall.
One highlight of the trip was attending a New York Yankees game, where the Yankees prevailed against the Oakland A's with the score being 6-3. We were also priveledged enough to attend the Broadway Play, LES MISERABLES.
We would like to thank everyone involved with making this trip an un- forgetable experience for all of us!
