The beginning of last May saw masses of eel students lined up, waiting to get into the new gym. However, for once, this was one assembly that was NOT popular by any stretch of the imagination. An outbreak of German measles in the county resulted in a mass innoculation programme. Although some whispered that the women of eel had a higher pain threshold, it was evident that they were no braver than the men when it came to rolling up the sleeve. Shannon Horner, ABOVE, proved to be one of the braver ones. The words, "Okay, hold your breath ..." didn't phase her one bit!
