Have you ever noticed that you never miss the radio or tape deck in the car until it's not working? When you get in- to the car you always go through cer- tain steps ... you put the key in the ignition, adjust the seat, fasten your seat-belt, fix the rear view mirror and make sure that the radio is on your favorite station. Teachers are no dif- ferent. Put the tunes on during the morning drive and add a stop for a cof- fee at Beckers or Tim Hortons and any teacher is ready to face a class full of enthusiastic students. What radio sta- tion is the first choice among our C.C.I. faculty? Sixty-five staff members were surveyed and the results were wide and varied. The most popular choice, Rock 95.6, had among such 9 staff as Mr. Hamlin, Mr. Coukell, Mrs. Tofano, Mrs. Maidiment, and Mr. Mcintosh. Those eight individuals who regularly turned to CKCB 1400 for the sound of a "snow storm" a.k.a. "bus call" in- cluded Miss Meredith, Miss Milne, Mr. Nickel, Mr. Knox, and Mr. Hunwicks. Although CHAY 93.1 has been known to make students comment, "My moth- er listens to that!" it proved to be popular with the 6 staff members, Mr. Benbow, Mrs. Russell, Mrs. Chaudet, and Mr. Pilon. The Hog 640 was a driv- ing favorite of 6 male staff, Mr. Purdy, Mr. Redmond, Mr. Simpson, Mr. Fisch- er, and Mr. Jardine. Six Q106.5 lis- teners consisted of Mr. Toppings, Mr. Norman, and Mr. Haiduk. Those 6 faculty wishing to keep up-to-date on the national and world news scene had their radio constantely tuned to CBC who else but Mr. Aikens, Mr. J. Sneyed, Mr. Davis, and Mr. McAn- drew. Ride along in Mr. Taylor's car and you'll find yourself listening to the T oronto .
