FUN IN THE SUN!
How do you know when summer is approach- ing? Is it the appearance of shorts on a student that provides the sign? No, Marcus Robinson wears them all year long with his long johns. What about some of the girls sporting reddened skin due to their attempt to be the first with a tan? No, this year the shortened March Break due to the severe snow storm only allowed them one day on the beach in Florida, hence the burn. The sight ofpopsicles? Hardly, Mrs. Bell stocks them in the cafeteria throughout the school months. You know that summer is here when it's 'FUN IN THE SUN DAY'! That's the time when super-soakers are sold out in every store in town, but they all appear on the football field for one particular afternoon. Wa- ter balloons are tossed by both staff and stu- dents, friends soak up a few rays while listening to tunes played by their peers, Ozzie competes with others on the football field in a wide variety ofunique games and Mr. Allard dominates the volleyball court with his mighty smashes. Even though those final exams are nearing and that essay due date is close, every- one wears a smile, knowing that summer is just around the corner.
