72 ML GRADE 9 DAY!
~~
For many of us that have been at C.C.I.
for one or more years, were well aware of I what life is like in high school BUT a poor
inocent grade nine must enter these hal-
lowed halls of learning full of rumours and misconseptions. Often they have heard wild d storys from older brothers and sisters or
friends. They enter school that first day
scared and nervous.
Before experiencing high school, Angie Skinner heard "If you even look at a person the wrong way, you'll get your head kicked in! Ira Mathews heard through the grape- vine that "It is a lot harder than public school." Someone told Elissa VanBarneveld "That you get more freedom here than in grade eight." A rumour that Tanis Schrader heard was that "The cafeteria food is bad." Rumours made Shaun Schollaert believe that "C.C.I.'s teacher are all strict." Through rumours, Angela Orvis heard that "you will meet a lot of nice looking guys here." Dan- ielle Hammond heard things like "Grade eleven's will make you lick peanut butter offtoilet seats" and she thanks us very much cancelling anitiation day! Some people told Christa Dickinson that "Once you enter high school you never get to see your friends." Poor Aaron Dreaver head that "The first day of school would be a living nightmare." Rou- mours say, according to Wendy James, that "Everyone is mean and you get massive homework."
