WORLD CLASS '93
In December of 1992, a new and exciting course was
introduced to the senior students of C.C.I.: a four- il course program consisting of Environmental Geogra- s• phy, English, Political Science and History at the A Grade 12 level. Interviews were given, and two weeks S later, twenty-two very excited students were given i b the fabulous news that they'd been accepted. 1
In truth, it sounded like a lot of fun and games to
most of us. We couldn't have been more wrong. Be- Il tween geography projects, Mr. Coukell's tragedy es-
says, Mr. R. Sneyd's assignments on Hitler, and F learning the ways of our government, we also par- ticipated in the Michigan State International Game
in which different schools all over the globe played
the parts of Middle East governments. World Class played the part of Jordan, and won the game!
Students such as Christina Kosmas, Aaron Garner and Marcus Robinson went on some incredible trips with the help of World Class. Christina went to New York City with one thousand dollars in spending money, Marcus visited Wisconsin, and Aaron went to Canton, New York. All had fabulous times.
Along with shorter trips to Hamilton, Caledon and Barrie, World Class students learned just about as much outside the classroom as we did in.
Members of World Class 1993 were Eric Barfoot, Len Bird, Merv Carter, Owen Civiera, Rebecca Cripps, Shonia Death, Tracy Edwards, Aaron Garner, Kimberly Gross, Heather Kells, Christina Kosmas, Lianne Levesque, Steve McCulloch, Melanie Mitch- ell, Marty North, Jen Parent, Jaquelyn Patterson, Alix Paxton, Mary Risk, Marcus Robinson, Melody Scott and Ryan Swanzey.
