Untamed Spirit in Junior Football
'93 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Although the Juniors did not score a win in the play-offs, they played well after a season record of 3 wins and 4 losses. The major win for the season, however, was the local championship against Stayner. After an exciting, closely matched game, the Juniors brought home the co- veted Len Rocque trophy which is contested each year by Stayner and C.C.I.
One of the highlights of '93 was our kicking game which featured two specialists: excellent place-kicker, ChristoffWobst, an exchange student from Germany, and hard working punter, Mark Marshall.
Our offence was led by speedstar and leading scorer, Darren Ford, while defence was led by Joe Hamilton and Brendan Wypich. We had two strong quarterbacks in Scott Gallacher and Clay Dolan and two capable centres in Trevor Garbutt and Matt Arnill.
The most important goal for '93 and for every year is to have fun and enjoy the great sport of football!
