Amnesty C.C.I. is a division of Amnesty Internationa a world-wide organization dedicated to protecting h1 man rights. Amnesty writes letters ofprotest to go· ernments of countries where abuse of human righ takes place, such as torture and "disappearance" ' those innocent of any recognized crime. These "pr soners of conscience" are often those who speak 01 against their governments for the abuses they aJ subjected to. This year Amnesty C.C.I. has continUE to maintain ties with our school's twin, Piedra Az1 Popular School in El Salvador. Amnesty has host! speakers from various organizations and participab in cultural events. Amnesty C.C.I. is one of C.C.I. strongest voices of soiidarity with the people of tl world.
