HAPPY HACKERS AT C.C.I.! During Semester Two of this year, C.C.I. hooked into the Internet. Classes have been introduced to the new system throughout the se- mester, and many students are spending valuable hours surfing the net. The system is also being used by entire classes. Mr. Nutley's economics class has been trading and selling stocks on a simulated stock market, with a game that is played across the province. This game gives the students a real feel for the business life. Other classes have been using the Internet to research topics such as politics, law, judicial systems, college and university information, and languages throughout the world. The Internet is an excellent and exciting new resource and can be used by any stu- dent with parental permission and the completion of a one-hour workshop. If you are interested in doing some surfing, try first with a class, then try your research skills. See Mrs. Stoutenburg to find out how you can be launched into cyberspace!
