AS GOOD AS GOLD
The Alpine Ski Team (TOP LT) had an extremely successful season, winning the GBSSA Championships in the Level 1 Boys and Level 2 Girls categories . The Level 1 girls placed 3rd and the Level 2 boys placed second . Tyler Chatterson won a silver at GBs and continued on to OFSAA where he won a gold medal in the Level 3 Boys slalom event . At OfSAA, the Level 2 girls showed everyone how to race and

in Haliburton on a course with fast, icy downhills and slow, mushy uphills . Both Bryan and Leeann fared well in their races,

racers . The help of parent/ assistant coach, Doug Storey , was most appreciated by all . This year's Cross- Country Ski Team was a group of 5 enthusiastic junior boys
joined by a senior girl . Despite El Nino, we experienced one of our best snow seasons in recent years thanks to snow making and the high altitude of our home training site, Highlands Nordic. The climb to the top was always worth the great skiing we found there. Fielding a field of Junior Boys was an accomplishment in itself and they able to place 5th at the GB's . Bryan Ricoskie posted out best individual time by placing 13th at
GB's and qualifying for OFSAA competition . Leeann Matthews also joined him at OFSAA as a senior girl. This competition was held
