Once again CCI's W restling Team had a great season ยท in both boys and girls competition. We hosted the CCI Invitational in January to 24 teams and 200 wrestlers as part of the winter wrestling weekend. Our intermediate
team won the Simcoe County Championship and the GBSSA Championships,

competition and third in boys competition. Individual GBSSA champions included Katrina Wink, Jen Bell, Jessica Beatson, Brian Burtch and Miguel
Martin . Placing second were Katie Lloyd, Hal Stimson and Shawn Payne with 3rd place finishes by V eronica Downie, Ian Patterson, Kevin
Fenwick, Chase
Nicholson, Zac Beatson and Mark Y oung. Four team members of Jen,
~eronica, Katie and rressica went on to the Ontario Winter Games in
Peterborough and at the
I OFSSA Championships, the girls placed 11th in the
province with a 5th
place finish by Katrina,6th by Jen, 7th by Katie and 11th by Jessica . In the boys competition, Brian Burtch placed 7th,
Miguel received 11th and Shawn and Hal both making a good showing. Many thanks go to Erika Worth, our pairing master. As well, much appreciation is extended
to Jay Grainger, Rick Potts, Ron Comklin, Jason Whyte and Alan Emond.
