The number of hours that you may spend on your homework will depend upon your individual timetables and the courses that you select. Take for granted, however, that you w ill require more time as you progress from grade to grade. In grade 9,you should antici- pate having about 1 hour of homework each night and that increases to about 3 hours in grade 12.A final tip:count upon needing alot more time to study for those final exams.
1. Review your notes. Start with the main points before you return to review the material in detail.
2. Set up a schedule so you know what you will be reviewing each night, and know that you can cover everything in that time.
3. Listen closely to the teacher's tips on what may be in the examination, e.g. which chapters to cover.
4. Never assume that something won't be on the examination and skip over it for that reason.
5. Be sure you know what type of exami- nation it will be, e.g. essay questions or true-and-false. If you're in any doubt, don't hesitate to ask.
